Shouldiliveordie sounds pretty serious and I guess it is. I am a 47 year old male who has been fighting depression for most of my life. My current diagnosis is treatment resistant depression and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The BPD part was added about 15 years ago and is something that many mental health professionals don't want to deal with.
I do have a therapist whom I see once a week. She is very supportive.
I have been on just about every anti-depressant and combination thereof. Tried ECT twice. Haven't gotten much or lasting relief from anything.
I have pondered my options for a long time. Not sure what to do at this point...
